HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the outgoing Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with His Excellency Alastair Long, the outgoing Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Gudaibiya Palace.

His Royal Highness affirmed the depth of the longstanding relationship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, stressing the advancement of bilateral cooperation across various sectors through strategic partnerships and joint agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA).

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the shared commitment of both nations to deepening cooperation and coordination in support of shared aspirations and mutual interests. To this end, His Royal Highness expressed appreciation for HE Long’s efforts throughout his tenure in strengthening Bahrain–UK relations and wished him continued success in his future endeavours.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister went on to recognise the significant role of the UK, alongside its allies, in supporting efforts to combat the hostile Iranian aggression, safeguard security and stability and support regional and international development.

The meeting also reviewed the latest regional and international developments, as well as other issues of common interest.

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
