HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received Her Excellency Dr Afrah A. Al-Zouba, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen, at Riffa Palace.
During the meeting, a letter addressed to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, written by HE Dr Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen, was delivered to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, by HE Dr Al-Zouba.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the strength of the relationship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Yemen, affirming the Kingdom’s commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation across various fields in support of mutual aspirations.
The meeting also reviewed issues of common interest and the latest regional and international developments. His Royal Highness stressed Bahrain’s steadfast support for all efforts to achieve security, stability, development, and peace in the Republic of Yemen.
His Royal Highness concluded by extending his congratulations to Her Excellency on her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, wishing her every success in her new role.
For her part, Her Excellency condemned the unjustified Iranian hostile aggression toward the Kingdom of Bahrain and other GCC countries, describing it as a flagrant violation of their sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability.
HE Dr Al-Zouba affirmed Yemen’s solidarity with the GCC countries and its support for the measures taken by the member states to safeguard their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
HE expressed her appreciation for His Royal Highness’ commitment to strengthening the Bahrain-Yemen relations, wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
HE Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
