HRH the Deputy King meets with a European Parliament delegation
The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met with a European Parliament delegation led by HE Reinhold Lopatka MEP, Chair of the European Parliament’s Delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula, at Riffa Palace.
HRH the Deputy King affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the European Union (EU), in line with the vision and aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to advance progress and prosperity for both Bahrain and the EU.
His Royal Highness highlighted the depth of the relationship between Bahrain and the EU across various sectors, which have contributed to advancing bilateral cooperation and strengthening strategic partnerships.
The meeting reviewed Bahrain–EU relations and ways to deepen cooperation and coordination to achieve mutual goals and aspirations.
His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of further strengthening economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Bahrain and the EU, building on existing agreements, memoranda of understanding, and strategic partnerships to drive sustainable growth and prosperity.
His Royal Highness stressed the critical role played by the EU, and its allies in consolidating regional security and stability.
During the meeting, issues of mutual interest, as well as the latest regional and international developments, were discussed.
His Excellency Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
