HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Secretary General of the GCC and the heads of delegations participating in the 24th Meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers Responsible for Housing Affairs
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with His Excellency Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and the heads of delegations participating in the 24th Meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers Responsible for Housing Affairs, at Riffa Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, remains committed to supporting joint Gulf initiatives that strengthen cooperation among the GCC member states and contribute to their continued progress, prosperity, and growth across various sectors.
His Royal Highness noted that the ongoing GCC cooperation, grounded in the historic relationships between all member states and continues to develop across various fields, guided by the visions and aspirations of the GCC leaders and contributing to the aspirations of their peoples for further progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, the heads of delegations conveyed the greetings of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states, to His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
In turn, His Royal Highness extended the greetings of HM the King to Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC countries.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister wished those involved in the meeting success in achieving its objectives and advancing joint Gulf efforts in the housing sector.
His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of continuing efforts to achieve the visions and aspirations of the GCC leaders in enhancing cooperation in the housing and real estate sectors, through strengthened coordination and the development of shared solutions to address challenges and support comprehensive development.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the importance of the second edition of the Innovation in the Social Housing Sector Conference and Exhibition 2026, held in conjunction with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s hosting of the 24th Meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers Responsible for Housing Affairs. His Royal Highness underscored the role of such events in exchanging expertise and strengthening partnerships and cooperation among the GCC states in the housing and real estate sectors and contributing to developing innovative solutions and initiatives that support the sustainability of these vital sectors and advance shared aspirations.
For their part, the heads of delegations participating in the 24th Meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers Responsible for Housing Affairs expressed their gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness for his continued support for joint Gulf cooperation and efforts to achieve shared aspirations. The heads of delegations also conveyed their wishes for further progress and prosperity to the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.
The Kingdom of Bahrain hosted the meeting as part of its presidency of the 46th Session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) “Bahrain Summit”.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and several senior officials were in attendance.
