Readout of telephone call between HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and the Prime Minister of Malaysia

A telephone call was held today between His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.

During the call, His Royal Highness and the Prime Minister of Malaysia reviewed the latest preparations for hosting 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, marking the 22nd edition of the event.

The event is being hosted by Malaysia with the blessings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.

His Royal Highness expressed his appreciation to the Prime Minister of Malaysia for the significant support and cooperation extended towards ensuring the success of this global sporting event.

During the call, the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Malaysia were discussed, as well as the continued cooperation and partnerships being made across various fields, in support of shared aspirations.
