HM King, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister exchange congratulations on outstanding success of 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the outstanding success of the 22nd edition of the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix held in Malaysia.
His Majesty commended HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s tireless efforts, support and follow-up of the Bahrain Grand Prix, which have contributed to the race’s success and to Bahrain’s achievements in Formula 1, further strengthening Bahrain’s international standing and reputation, particularly within regional and international sporting circles.
His Majesty also thanked HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the distinguished development achievements His Royal Highness continues to accomplish for the Kingdom across all fields, wishing His Royal Highness continued success and further national achievements and gains.
His Majesty the King also thanked His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, and the people of Malaysia for the support and arrangements provided for the race, which reflected the strength of the historical and close bilateral ties between the two countries and their peoples.
His Majesty also welcomed the attendance of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam, as guest of honour, and his praise of the race’s success and distinguished organisation.
His Majesty the King also commended the sincere efforts of the Bahrain International Circuit and the Bahraini teams involved in the organisation of the race, and their outstanding national efforts in delivering a successful race which drew large crowds from around the world. His Majesty wished everyone continued success.
His Majesty also expressed his appreciation to the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), the participating teams and the sponsors, congratulating the winners and commending their performance. His Majesty also wished the remaining teams better luck in the upcoming races.
His Majesty the King said the success of this year’s race adds to Bahrain’s record of achievements in international sport, underlining the dedication and capabilities of Bahrainis in organising and hosting major sporting events to the highest international standards.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed immense pride and gratitude for His Majesty’s congratulatory cable, which was held with the blessings of His Majesty the King and His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
His Royal Highness said that this success embodies His Majesty’s vision and aspirations, through which the Kingdom continues to consolidate its leading position in the world of Formula 1.
His Royal Highness highlighted that the continued support and attention of His Majesty the King continued support for Bahrain’s development and his vision for its future remain a driving force behind efforts to achieve further progress and strengthen the Kingdom’s position across sectors. His Royal Highness said Bahrain’s continued success in organising the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, culminating in the successful 22nd edition in Malaysia, reflects the progress achieved under His Majesty’s vision and support, which has enabled Bahrain to build a strong track record in organising major international sporting events.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister added that Bahrain’s achievements over more than two decades in hosting and organising the event reflect the determination, competence and dedication of Team Bahrain and its commitment to advancing the Kingdom’s progress and prosperity.
