HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister issues Edict (52) of 2026
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today issued Edict (52) of 2026 on the reconstitution of the committee overseeing the implementation of the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan, the National Renewable Energy Action Plan and their initiatives, based on nominations by the relevant entities.
Article (I)
The committee overseeing the implementation of the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan, the National Renewable Energy Action Plan and their initiatives shall be reconstituted under the chairmanship of the Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, with the membership of:
1- Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works — Member
2- Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic and Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Industry and Commerce — Member
3- Assistant Undersecretary for Land Transport at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications — Member
4- Assistant Undersecretary for Engineering Affairs at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning — Member
5- Vice President for Electricity Affairs at the Electricity and Water Authority — Member
6- Assistant Undersecretary for Public Utilities at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture — Member
7- Director of the Public Revenue Policy Directorate at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy — Member
8- Director of the Policies and Strategic Planning Directorate at the Ministry of Oil and Environment — Member
9- Director of the Projects Directorate at the Prime Minister’s Office — Member
10- Director of the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Directorate at the Supreme Council for Environment — Member
The entity referred to in item (9) shall designate its representative on the committee.
Membership of the committee shall be for a renewable term of three years.
Article (II)
The ministers, each within their respective jurisdiction, shall implement the provisions of this edict, which shall take effect from the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
