HM King, HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister exchange cables on inauguration of fifth session of sixth legislative term of Shura and Representatives Councils
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on His Majesty’s inauguration of the fifth session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended HM the King’s Royal Address, noting the important national messages and vision outlined in it. His Royal Highness said the address reflected His Majesty’s commitment to ensuring that the constitutional authorities collaborate in fulfilling their responsibilities, maintaining a united national position and placing the nation’s interests at the centre of all national efforts.
His Royal Highness said this approach strengthens cooperation among national institutions and supports continued development and achievements, advancing Bahrain’s progress and prosperity under HM the King’s leadership.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister said the Royal Address provided clear direction on key national priorities, emphasising the importance of continued solidarity and collective action in strengthening Bahrain’s ability to address regional and international challenges with resilience and wisdom, while safeguarding the Kingdom’s security, prosperity and sovereignty, protecting its highest national interests, and reaffirming its firm commitment to supporting regional and international peace and security.
His Royal Highness expressed pride in HM the King’s recognition of the Government’s efforts and His Majesty’s confidence in its plans to meet the current challenges and requirements. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister said His Majesty’s recognition was a source of great pride and further motivation to continue working with determination and dedication to achieve national development goals, ensure the continued delivery of public services with efficiency, quality and excellence, and support economic activity and living standards to meet citizens’ aspirations and strengthen the Kingdom’s capabilities.
His Royal Highness also expressed appreciation for HM the King’s recognition of Bahrain’s defence and security forces, whose vigilance, effectiveness and outstanding performance in confronting challenges and threats demonstrated their vital role in protecting the Kingdom and defending its sovereignty.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reaffirmed the commitment to supporting these institutions through the continued development of their capabilities and modernisation of their systems, further strengthening Bahrain’s security and resilience and safeguarding its stability and prosperity.
His Royal Highness said that the Government would continue to uphold the trust placed in it by HM the King and fulfil its national responsibilities, guided by His Majesty’s directives.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister said the Government remained committed to translating the priorities outlined in the Royal Address into practical plans, programmes and initiatives. These include strengthening cooperation and integration with the legislative authority to advance national priorities, modernising economic legislation and ensuring its coherence, enhancing the competitiveness of the investment environment, and expanding opportunities in the knowledge economy. His Royal Highness added that the Government would continue to support sustainability in energy and environmental protection, strengthen food and water security as essential elements of Bahrain’s overall national security.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to preparing Bahrain’s next economic vision, in accordance with HM the King’s directives. His Royal Highness said the vision would provide a unified national framework that brings together economic and social priorities while aligning development with sustainability, improving institutional performance and the quality of outcomes, and advancing the shared goals of security and development.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed pride in HM the King’s tribute to the people of Bahrain for their solidarity and unity in support of the nation, as well as their contribution to maintaining public confidence, optimism and national stability during challenging circumstances.
His Royal Highness said the response of the Bahraini people demonstrated that the Kingdom’s greatest strength lies in their unity, loyalty and steadfast commitment to their country.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also welcomed HM the King’s announcement designating June 1 of each year as a national occasion and official public holiday, to be known as “Day of Pledge and Loyalty”.
His Royal Highness said the occasion would serve as a lasting symbol of the mutual affection, loyalty, devotion and sense of belonging that unite HM the King and the people of Bahrain.
His Royal Highness also welcomed HM the King’s directive to designate the coming year as the “Year of Isa bin Salman”, honouring the memory of the late Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and his contributions, legacy and leadership in Bahrain’s development.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister said the initiative reflected the Kingdom’s enduring appreciation for its history and the wisdom and dedication of its former leaders. His Royal Highness noted that it also reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to continuing its longstanding approach to development and modernisation, preserving its cultural and historical legacy, and strengthening the state and its institutions, while inspiring confidence in a more stable and prosperous future.
His Royal Highness further highlighted HM the King’s appreciation for the support of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the historic role of the United States of America, including its steadfast political and defence support for Bahrain.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also noted HM the King’s appreciation for the significant support extended by the United Arab Emirates, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and its continued solidarity with Bahrain.
His Royal Highness said these positions reflected the strength of Bahrain’s established relations with its GCC partners and international allies, as well as HM the King’s approach to promoting closer cooperation, greater integration and shared objectives and interests in support of regional security, stability and prosperity.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reaffirmed loyalty and allegiance to HM the King and renewed the commitment to implementing His Majesty’s directives and vision with determination and dedication.
His Royal Highness pledged to devote all efforts and resources to sustaining Bahrain’s development and progress.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended best wishes to HM the King and expressed hope that HM the King would remain a source of strength, pride and support for Bahrain and its people.
HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of thanks in reply to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, expressing appreciation for His Royal Highness’s sincere sentiments and continued commitment to turning Royal directives and visions into government programmes and projects that advance Bahrain’s comprehensive development.
His Majesty welcomed HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s appreciation of the Royal Address, noting that it reflected HM the King’s continued commitment to cooperation among the constitutional authorities and unity of national position.
