HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Chairman of Poonawalla Group

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the Chairman of Poonawalla Group, Dr Cyrus Poonawalla, at Riffa Palace.

His Royal Highness highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to further Bahrain-India multisectoral cooperation, noting the role of private sector partnerships in advancing bilateral relations and collaboration.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad highlighted the potential for further private sector cooperation due to longstanding bilateral relations. In this regard, His Royal Highness noted the commitment of leading businessmen of both countries in furthering Bahrain-India economic and investment opportunities.

For his part, Dr Poonawalla expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, noting His Royal Highness’s commitment to furthering private sector collaboration between both countries.

His Royal Highness highlighted the successful partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and India during the COVID-19 pandemic as part of the National Vaccination Campaign. HRH noted the contributions of Poonawalla Group as a global vaccine manufacturer.

HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, Lieutenant-General HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
