HRH the Deputy King receives the President of the Arabian Gulf University
The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today received the newly appointed President of the Arabian Gulf University, HE Dr Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, at Gudaibiya Palace.
His Royal Highness highlighted higher education institutions’ role in developing the Kingdom’s workforce and supporting Bahrainis to contribute to the Kingdom’s progress and development.
HRH the Deputy King noted the importance of keeping pace with the latest educational tools to support creativity and innovation and consolidating scientific research across educational workstreams to ensure citizens’ contributions to the Kingdom’s wide-ranging development goals.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad expressed his best wishes to HE Dr Saad in performing his duties to achieve the university’s aspirations.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister wished the University success in pursuing its goals and aspirations and commended its contributions to scientific research and the GCC’s health sectors, by developing specialised medical personnel.
For his part, HE Dr Al Fuhaid expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness, and for His Royal Highness’ support for the university and its educational role. HE Al Fuhaid further wished the Kingdom of Bahrain progress and prosperity.
HRH the Deputy King recalled the efforts of the former President of the Arabian Gulf University, the late HE Dr Khaled Abdul Rahman Al-Ohali, in furthering the University’s overall progress.
The Deputy Prime Minister, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Education, HE Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, also attended the meeting.
