HRH the CP, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and PM receives the Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, today received the Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command, Commander of the United States Fifth Fleet, and Commander of Combined Maritime Forces, Vice Admiral Charles B. Cooper II, at Gudaibiya Palace.

His Royal Highness highlighted the longstanding ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America, particularly within military and defence.

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad emphasised the importance of furthering international efforts to maintain regional and international safety and stability.

Regional and international issues of common interest were also reviewed, as well as joint efforts to further Bahrain-US cooperation to meet common goals.

The Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, also attended the meeting.
