HRH Crown Prince urges more efforts to improve education

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Economic Development Board (EDB) Chairman, urged today those in charge of the Schools Performance Improvement Scheme to continue their efforts to achieve better results that will impact positively on the set up goals outlined by Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

Future generations will remember your work with respect and admiration when the reform programme yields its dividends which will be visible to all in the forthcoming years as this scheme is consistent with our relentless endeavour to develop vital sectors, he said as he patronized today a ceremony to honour participants in the reform scheme. .

He also thanked Deputy Premier and Head of the Education and Training Reform Committee Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Premier and Board Chairman of the Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Training (QAAET) Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Education Minister Dr.Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi and EDB Chief Executive Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa for their constructive role in working out policies matching with the labour market demands.

The Education Ministry is seeking to achieve distinction through the programme to usher in a new phase of educational development, Dr.Al Nuaimi said thanking HRH the Crown Prince for his 4th historic visit to the Education Ministry. The Education Ministry is cooperating with EDB experts to ensure students have access to the best academic education, provide a favourable school climate and upgrade the Education Ministry’s performance, he added.

Dr.Al Nuaimi presented HRH the Crown Prince, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak, Shaikh Khalid and Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa with commemorative gifts lauding their remarkable contribution and support. After that, HRH the Crown Prince honoured 150 participants in the scheme.He, then, laid the foundation stone of the Education Ministry’s multi-purpose auditorium at Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Boys Secondary School.He also listened to an account by the Education Minister about the project and its facilities.
