Deputy King Opens Institute
Deputy King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Chairman of the Economic Development Board (EDB), today said that all modernisation and development programmes aiming at upgrading governmental performance stem from Bahrainis’ resolve to serve their nation in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives to make the citizen the focal target of all development and advancement efforts.
Speaking as he opened the Bahrain Institute for Public Administration (BIPA) in the presence of Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy King asserted that BIPA is the first step in the right path to serve the kingdom through unifying policies, identifying priorities, consolidating coordination and cohesion among national programmes and determining the necessary criteria, stressing that the outlined goals should be in harmony with those set by the Economic Vision whose major goal is to meet the aspirations of the Bahraini people.
“Bahraini youths are the pillar of the Kingdom’s ambitious future which can not be ensured unless wise academic policies are set up in order to prepare the younger generations at all levels,” HRH Crown Prince also said. At the ceremony, Cabinet Affairs Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Atiyatollah Al Khalifa delivered a statement in which he affirmed that BIPA was the result of HM King Hamad’s enlightened visionary decision to establish this monument out of his desire to enhance the training and professional development of government cadres in order to upgrade their competencies.
“HM the King has outlined the road map for BIPA so as to be a centre where highly qualified and creative national leaders can graduate in line with HM King Hamad’s Reform Project and the Economic Vision for Bahrain, 2030,” he added, lauding HRH Prince Salman’s constant support for the Institute and its curricula. Deputy King was updated on the Institute’s different curricula and diplomas.
