Deputy King receives US Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy Affairs

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy King and Crown Prince, took pride today in Bahrain’s rich social texture and its openness on other societies.  Taking into consideration cultural and social aspects to boost communication between peoples is a step having deep impact on success of the efforts exerted to lay civilisational bridges, he said as he received today US Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy Affairs Judith McHale.

He urged to avail of the cultural and civilisational features to build on previous achievements marking the distinguished relations between Bahrain and the USA. Finding cross-cultural bridges between both countries reflects human warmth in transmitting the real image of both countries’ identities, he added expressing appreciation of bilateral cooperation and coordination in the cultural and educational fields.

He pointed out the kingdom’s keenness to upgrade its educational system by taking advantage of international experiences in this regard so as to keep abreast of the fast-paced changes in this field. The US official stressed the promising opportunities available to further promote bilateral relations through mainly cultural channels owing to the kingdom’s rich heritage and landmark development achievements. Present at the meeting were Crown Prince’s Court Head Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa and US Ambassador to Bahrain Adam Ereli.
