HRH Crown Prince receives outgoing Indian ambassador

Bahrain is one of the first countries in the region which have sought to build up strong relations with India within the framework of partnership and common interest, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander said as he received at Riffa Palace today outgoing Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Dr. George Joseph.

 India, with its diverse wealth resources and natural and human characteristics, is one of the countries which are achieving tangible progress in their development and economic programmes. Therefore, we need to look for more openness on it, he added lauding the efforts of the Indian ambassador in enhancing bilateral political, economic and commercial relations.

The Indian ambassador congratulated HRH the Crown Prince on Bahrain’s successful organization of the parliamentary and municipal elections describing people’s participation in the democratic momentum as a landmark success of the reform and modernization process spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He also thanked concerned sides in Bahrain for their assistance to facilitate his diplomatic mission praising HRH the Crown Prince’s humanitarian feelings and respect for the human rights of the Indian labour force. Present at the meeting was the Crown Prince’s Court Head Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa.
