HRH Crown Prince to patronise annual reception of Banking Society of Bahrain

The Bahrain Bankers’ Society will host its annual reception tomorrow in cooperation with Bahrain Insurance Association. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Economic Development Board chairman, will patronise the ceremony for the 4th time.   “HRH Prince Salman’s patronage is a major boost reasserting the pivotal role of the sector and its vital contribution to the national economy”, BBS chief executive officer Robert Ainey said.

He highlighted the crucial role of the banking and financial sectors in creating value-added jobs for Bahraini cadres.He hailed the leadership, led by His Majesty King Hamad, for ensuring Bahrain’s economic stability and limiting the fallout of the global crisis on financial institutions.”The stable and safe environment played a key role in consolidating the standing of the financial sector, a major contributor to the Gross Domestic Product”, he said.

He acknowledged HRH Prince Salman’s directives and strenuous efforts in support of the sector to prosper and continue its growth momentum.He also thanked the CP for patronising the reception, the biggest of its kind in Bahrain, as it brings together leading bankers and financiers, businessmen, senior government officials and representatives of the private sector.City Group executive director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa will address the audience.
