HRH Crown Prince visits Isa Air Base
The Royal Bahraini Air Force today marked the 34th anniversary of its establishement. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander congratulated the RBAF commander and staff, hailing their competence in defending Bahrain’s airspace.
He also lauded Bahrain Eagles for protecting landmark national achievements, the fruit of His Majesty King Hamad’s wise vision.HRH Prince Salman was speaking as he inspected Isa Airbase, in the presence of BDF Commander in Chief General Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.He unveiled the commemorative plaque of the base mosque, signaling its opening.He then headed to Bahrain Eagles Auditorium where he unveiled a commemorative plaque of the new multipurpose facility.He was briefed by RBAF on the construction of the auditorium and future armament plans.
Prince Salman then bestowed competence medals on RBAF veteran officers in recognition of their efforts and dedication to their national duties. RBAF commander presented HRH Prince Salman with a memento marking his landmark visit.Prince Salman hailed the RBAF development strides, citing the modern air crafts, armaments, and qualified staff to operate the hi-tech systems competently.
He pointed out the RBAF participations in local and regional military exercises to enhance its combating and administrative credentials. He also stressed the importance of promoting cooperation with the armies of brotherly and friendly countries by intensifying joint trainings and exercises. “It is of utmost importance to be armed with science and Islamic principles and values to ensure the country’s security and safety”, he said, paying tribute to the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad.
“In Bahrain we cherish great ambitions and have worked hard to develop non-oil economy alongside the oil-based economy”, he said. He stressed the drive to harmonise between civic progress and military development to defend national achievements. HRH Court chief Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa also attended the ceremony.
