Deputy King receives GCC Secretary General

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy of His Majesty the King and Crown Prince, paid tribute today to GCC leaders’ resolve and determination to strengthen the Gulf Cooperation Council, achieve integration and promote bilateral trade. The Council has been able to bring about political, economic and investment gains which have reflected positively on the Gulf countries, he said as he received at Riffa Palace today GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman Al Attiyah.

He lauded the GCC Secretary General’s efforts to boost the GCC march underlining continuous support of His Majesty the King to it in order to boost GCC coordination and integration. Al Attiyah presented HRH the Deputy King with a full account about the organization’s activities, including the consultative meeting of the GCC leaders.He praised Bahrain’s outstanding role in promoting the GCC march and active participation in backing joint projects. Present at the meeting were Crown Prince Court’s Head Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa and Foreign Ministry Under-Secretary for Regional and GCC Affairs Hamad Al Amer.
