HRH Crown Prince Receives Jordanian Premier
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and the Economic Development Board (EDB) Chairman, today said that the common features shared between Bahrain and Jordan are common principles linking their leaderships and peoples and defining their solid bilateral relations.
“We are confident that the distinctive brotherly relations, anchored by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his brother King Abdulla II are successful,” HRH Crown Prince said as he received today at Al Riffa Palace the Jordanian Premier Samir Al Rifae. “We are keen to translate this strategic relation into reality through setting up joint economic and industrial projects,” HRH Prince Salman added.
HRH Crown Prince also said that the Economic Vision for Bahrain, 2030 was based on competitiveness, justice and sustainability in order to better the Bahraini citizens’ standards of living, praising the EDB and the other concerned sides’ efforts to open up new horizons and protect the kingdom’s economic and developmental achievements, calling for extending economic ties with Jordan for the benefit of both countries.
HRH Crown Prince also said he looked forward to activating the role of the Joint Bahraini-Jordanian Committee in order to execute joint projects, suggesting launching partnership projects in the fields of energy and Aluminum in conjunction with the private sector.
On his part, the Jordanian Premier expressed his delight over the visit during which he was honoured by meeting HM King Hamad, His Royal Highness Premier Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Crown Prince, lauding HRH Prince Salman’s advanced economic visions which, he said, can enhance the kingdom’s economy.
