HRH Crown Prince Receives Ali Agha Mohammadi
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, today said that the pillars of the kingdom’s policies, anchored by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, are based on equilibrium and wisdom towards all brotherly and friendly countries, including friendly Iran.
“In Bahrain, we are serious, more than ever, to enhance bilateral trade and consolidate the spirit of economic exchange between Bahrain and Iran for the benefit of the two countries’ peoples,” added HRH Crown Prince as he received at Al Riffa Palace the Iranian Assistant First Vice-President Ali Agha Mohammadi, in the presence of Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.
During the meeting, HRH Crown Prince expressed his satisfaction over what has been achieved so far regarding the recent talks on the prospects of reaching an agreement aiming to execute the joint Gas Pipe Project which is beneficial for the two countries’ economies, stressing the need to pre-determine the price, the quality and percentage of the joint investment in the liquefaction process.
HRH Crown Prince called upon both parties to be clear, straightforward and careful in order to build a flexible pipe that can withstand future expansions as soon the two countries reach an accord.
HRH Crown Prince expressed his satisfaction over the ideas exchanged during the Iranian delegation’s visit which focused on ways of bolstering bilateral trade.
Concluding his talks to the Iranian official and his accompanying delegation, HRH Crown Prince warned of the negative effects of isolation, advising neighbouring Iran to do its best to avoid being isolated.
“Iran should act carefully, responsibly and rationally in order to remain an effective and interactive partner in the International community, which is the kingdom’s desire, as outlined by HM King Hamad,” HRH Crown Prince said, adding that “the Kingdom is ready to help achieve that whenever you need us.” HRH Crown Prince lauded the Iranian Nation’s pioneering civilisational and cultural roles throughout its rich history.
At the same time, HRH Crown Prince hailed the US President Barack Obama’s outstanding capabilities in tackling different local and international issues, citing the passing of the Health Insurance Law which has been a controversial issue for many decades in the USA.
This, he said, testifies to Obama’s Administration’s exceptional ability in dealing with internal and external crises and urges us to avail of this quality and boost our ties with the USA.
HRH Crown Prince promised to comply with the invitation to visit Iran in the appropriate time.
The Iranian official expressed the Iranian leadership’s appreciation and admiration to HM King Hamad’s wise leadership.
He also lauded HRH Crown Prince’s distinctive qualities and his special interest in and follow-up of the economic development in the kingdom, asserting that what HRH Crown Prince is doing should be copied.
He also talked about Iran’s need for nuclear energy, affirming that his country deserves its peaceful nuclear programme and tries to promote moderation and combat extremism.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Head of the Crown Prince’s Court and other officials were present.
