HRH Crown Prince opens CISCO Networkers 2010 conference
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Economic Development Board Chairman opened today CISCO Networkers 2010 conference at Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, which will be running for four days.
He lauded the efforts exerted to upgrade the e-services and Information Technology (IT) sector in Bahrain so as to boost the kingdom’s telecommunications potentials and inform Bahraini professionals on the latest international trends in this field.He hailed Bahrain’s hosting of the conference which is being held for the first time in the kingdom, the Middle East and North Africa. HRH the Crown Prince said the event reflects the kingdom’s keenness to upgrade the e-services and IT sector to meet the goals of comprehensive development and serve citizens.
The presence of the huge number of experts and participants testifies to the kingdom’s high regional standing , he said. Concern accorded to this sector in Bahrain is part of continuous efforts to achieve comprehensive development in various economic, services, educational and training fields which has been outlined by Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, he added. The conference’s theme “Knowledge is Strength” is well-chosen and is concordant with the kingdom’s tendencies to anchor the principles of investing in science, education and training as part of continuous efforts to build modern Bahrain, he asserted.
