HRH Premier Receives HRH Crown Prince

His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today received at his court His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Kahlifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and the Economic Development Board (EDB) Chairman.

During the meeting, HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince asserted that the kingdom has embraced political, economic and social openness as the most appropriate policy due its limited resources, warning of the negative effects of isolationist policies. Openness is the best way to maintain the national economy’s vitality and development, they indicated. The reduction of obstacles, the co-existence culture, freedom of belief, the social openness and the positive competitive atmosphere are among the major incentives that encouraged many world companies to use Bahrain as the headquarter for their regional activities, they indicated.

They also stressed the need to preserve the kingdom’s distinctive competitive characteristics, calling upon all constitutional institutions to boost the state’s efforts in this regard. They also asserted that the Bahraini people is a highly civilised one known for its national and religious commitment, stressing that irresponsible behaviours are alien ones and should be punished severely. They also highlighted the importance of the media and its key role in promoting the national political, economic and social achievements, affirming that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s national project is directed to all Bahrainis.

They also underlined the importance of the training programmes in upgrading the competence of the governmental bodies’ personnel, lauding the importance of Bahrain’s Centre of Excellence.
