HRH Crown Prince Attends Graduation Ceremony

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander today attended the graduation ceremony of the First Royal Mechanized Infantry Battalion’s second joint troop carrier training session for officers, which took palace between February 18 and March 21.

Lieutenant Shaikh Khalid bi Hamad Al Kahlifa won the first place in this key specialised training session of the First Royal Mechanized Infantry Battalion which is the oldest Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) unit and the nucleus of its fighting units. At the beginning of the ceremony, Quran verses were recited and then the First Royal Mechanized Infantry Battalion’s commander Colonel Isa Mohammed Al Rumaihi delivered a statement in which he extended his sincere thanks to HRH Crown Prince for patronising the event. He also thanked all officers and noncommissioned officers for training the trainees and the tremendous efforts they exerted to ensure the success of the session.

After that, the Academy’s commandant indicated that the training has been beneficial for the participants who have learnt a lot of theoretical and practical information and improved their skills. In the end, HRH Crown Prince congratulated Shaikh Khalid and the other graduates, asserting the importance of field training which, he said, will help them carry out their duties successfully. HRH Crown Prince also expressed his confidence in the BDF affiliates and their capabilities to be up to the responsibilities entrusted upon them by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
