HRH Crown Prince receives FIA President
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport described holding the International Automobile Federation (FIA)’s meeting outside the European continent and for the first time in an Arab country as a global attestation to Bahrain as a host of major sporting events.
We feel proud while receiving Bahrain’s guests who are taking part in FIA meeting and F1 races, which coincide with the 60th anniversary of the launch of F1in the world, he said as he received at Riffa Palace today Formula One Management (FOM) and FIA Presidents Bernie Ecclestone and Jean Todt. HRH the Crown Prince hailed FIA efforts to develop motorsport pointing out the need to extend every support to this sport to preserve it for it has become one of the sports which allow the opportunity to promote economic, investment and cultural projects. Present at the meeting were General Organization for Youth and Sport President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Court’s Head Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa and Crown Prince Personal Secretary and member of the World Motorsport Council Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa.
