HRH Premier Receives HRH Crown Prince

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and the Economic Development Board Chairman.

During the meeting, HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince stressed that public economic facilities should be used as a tool of development and not to serve political interests.Such premises should be dedicated to develop economic life and services in line with the economic vision of the kingdom and not exploited for activities that deviate from balanced and responsible political speech, they said.

In this context, they condemned Al Wefaq Islamic Society’s misuse of the Gulf Air Club premises to attack individuals and families, offend the kingdom’s royal rule and exploit the freedom scope for anti national unity issues.In this regard, they stressed that all institutions and government bodies have to turn down any illegal and unlicensed meetings, adding that all must serve the public interest, national unity, economic development and use public facilities for those reasons only. They also asserted that necessary measures will be taken so as to prevent any future misuse of public facilities for such illegal purposes.

In a related context, HRH Premier and HRH Crown Prince reiterated their support for Gulf Air and expressed their keenness to help it through managerial and technical program to make it able to overcome all challenges.They also underlined the importance of hosting sporting, cultural and tourist events that attract visitors and tourists, which enhances tourism and economic activities in general.In this context, they hailed the role played by Bahrain International Circuit in boosting the national economy and placing the kingdom higher on the world sport map.
