Shura Council Issues Press Statement

The Shura Council today issued a press statement about the first edition of Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS).

In the statement, the Council asserted that BIAS, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, adds to the kingdom’s numerous distinguished and globally-acknowledged civilizational achievements under the wise leadership of HM King Hamad.The Council boasted and appreciated the hosting of such a big world event testifying to the trust in the kingdom’s potentials in this regard.

BIAS consolidates Bahrain’s position in the field of aviation and specialized international exhibitions and attracts world companies to invest in Bahrain, which will have a positive impact on Bahraini citizens.In the statement, the Council extended sincere congratulations to HM King Hamad, His Royal Highness Premier Prince Khalifa bin Salman, His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Bahraini people on the success of BIAS.

The Council also extended congratulations to the wise leadership on the launch of Bahraini Oil Field development, which is expected to raise the field’s productivity by three times in the next 20 years, increase oil and gas exports, accelerate economic growth and better the citizens’ living standards.
