Deputy King Pays Visit to UK Seacraft

The advanced level of Bahraini-UK military cooperation and coordination is one of the distinguished results of the solid historical relations bonding the two allied countries, maintained and strengthened thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy of His Majesty the King and Crown Prince, said today.

Speaking as he, accompanied by his son Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, paid a visit to the British Royal Navy’s strategic seacraft, the Deputy King praised the pivotal role played by friendly UK and US marine forces to maintain security, stability and peace in the Gulf region.

He also asserted that the special relations bonding Bahrain and both Britain and the US have helped consolidate security and stability in the region and protected landmark development achievements in the Arabian Gulf region. The Deputy King also toured the UK vessel and was informed on its sections, facilities and how it works, wishing its crew every success in performing their assigned duties. Upon arrival, HRH Prince Salman was welcomed by the Commander of the Royal Bahraini Navy Force (RBNF) Commodore Abdulla Said Al Mansouri, UK Ambassador to Bahrain Iain Lindsay, Deputy Commander of the Combined Maritime Forces   Commodore and the Commander of the Royal Navy Maritime Headquarters Simon Ancona, Commanding Officer of the British Seacraft Commander Rob Dunn and Defence Attaché at the UK Embassy in Bahrain Commander Chris Moorey.
