Deputy King Receives New Japanese Ambassador

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy King and Crown Prince, today asserted that Japan’s “unique” and distinguished development experience was successful because it was based on modernity and genuine national character.

Speaking as he received the new Japanese Ambassador to Bahrain Shigeki Sumi, Deputy King praised Japan’s landmark achievements, reiterating the kingdom’s keen interest to bolster bilateral cooperation ties. He also called upon the International community to assume its responsibility and join hands in  order to safeguard global stability.

On his part, Ambassador Shigeki Sumi conveyed to HRH Crown Prince greetings from Emperor Akihito and said that his country is looking forward to creating a trade base for medium and small businesses in the kingdom which, he said, is an essential regional gate.He also called for the need to enhance bilateral coordination through organizing a programme to exchange visits and expertise.Head of HRH Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa attended.
