HRH Deputy King receives Anglican Church’s Archbishop

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Deputy King and Crown Prince stated that unique cultural diversity has  always distinguished the Kingdom of Bahrain over the eons in compliance with the true spirit of Islamic tolerance, co-existence and respect for other faiths.

His Royal Highness received the Anglican Church’s Archbishop Michael Lewis on the occasion of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain, pointing out that the long-time presence of the Anglican Church in the Kingdom is indicative of the special historical relationship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom.His Royal Highness was informed during the meeting about the activities of the Anglican Church in the region.

His Royal Highness assured the distinguished guest about constant support.On the other hand, Archbishop Michael Lewis expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the welfare and assistance provided to the Anglican Church and its followers in the Kingdom and the freedom of worship in an atmosphere of tolerance and openness which has always characterized the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people. The meeting was attended by the Crown Prince’s court president Shaikh Khalifa bin Duaij Al Khalifa.
