HRH Prince Salman Meets German Economy Minister and GCC Ambassadors

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, today met German Economy Minister Philipp Rösler and discussed prospects of economic and trade cooperation. The two sides pointed out the role of medium and small businesses and exchanged investments, stressing the importance of drawing up a detailed plan to promote bilateral trade and economic exchanges. HRH the Premier also met GCC Ambassadors to Germany and discussed relations bonding GCC member states, stressing their crucial role in promoting joint pan-Arab action and protecting achievements.

 HRH Prince Salman urged responsible and thoughtful initiatives to achieve regional security and stability and spare the region disastrous wars and chaos. He stressed the awareness of all citizens and their firm commitment to Bahrain’s identity, regardless of sectarian, religious and ethnic disparities. “Citizens are capable of bolstering Bahrain’s status as a model to emulate for civilized diversity”, he said, stressing the Kingdom’s aspiration to anchor the spirit of balance and consensus and ensure all deserving parties get their full rights. He expressed the hope that a viable formula would be reached for Bahrain to continue its march of progress and prosperity and remain a pearl in the Gulf and a model of responsible democracy.

The GCC ambassadors lauded the Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI) Report, stressing their support for all the steps which would be undertaken to implement the recommendations. They described the report as reaffirming the resolve of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa to promote rights and liberties in Bahrain.
