Deputy King Receives Jordanian Senate’s Deputy President

Deputy King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, today asserted that the kingdom, guided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s civilized approach, will dedicate all its efforts to carry on building a modern and developed society that is fully committed to the principles of a democratic state in which plurality of opinions and views is respected for the interests of the nation and the citizens.

  Speaking as he received here today, in the presence of Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, the Jordanian Senate Deputy President Dr. Fayez Tarawneh, HRH Crown Prince pointed out that moderation should be embraced by modern societies that believe in political development, especially in the Arab countries that are currently facing serious challenges that pose a threat to the unity of their peoples.  “Adherence to our national unity and Islamic religion will always enable us to overcome all difficulties,” he said, adding that the citizens in Bahrain and the Arab world are aware of the challenges and are capable of dealing with them.

The Deputy King also lauded the steady growth of the deep-rooted Bahraini-Jordanian relations at all levels On his part, Dr. Fayez Tarawneh expressed admiration at the political development witnessed by the kingdom, praising Bahrain’s democratic experience based on the Shura and Representatives councils. He also hailed the two kingdom’s continuous coordination regarding issues of joint concern.

Present were Head of the HRH Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa, the First Deputy Shura Council Chairman Jamel Mohammed Fakhro and the Jordanian Ambassador to Bahrain Mohammed Siraj.
