HRH Crown Prince Praises German’s Pivotal Role

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander, today praised the pivotal role played by Germany in Europe and the Middle East region. He also called for the need to take advantage of  its distinguished economic and modernization experience, reiterating his keenness to cooperate with the concerned sides in Germany in order to enhance Bahraini-German relations, within the GCC framework.

 Speaking as he received the newly-appointed German Ambassador to Bahrain Sabine Taufmann, HRH Crown Prince hailed the steady growth of the Bahraini-German relations, asserting that the two friendly countries are capable of upgrading the level of their cooperation and coordination in the industrial, medical, educational and cultural fields. The latest regional developments were also spotlighted during the meeting.

In the context, HRH Crown Prince pointed out that Arab countries are in “dire need” for promoting  the culture of dialogue, as the best way to set up democratic societies built on dialogue and consensus. On her part, Ambassador Taufmann expressed delight at the meeting, pledging that she will do her utmost to consolidate the solid Bahraini-German relations. She also stressed that the kingdom is of great importance to Germany, describing Bahraini-German ties as ones of “partnership and complementarity”. She also revealed that the flow of German investments to Bahrain will continue thanks to the German private sector’s interest in operating in the kingdom owing to its advanced infrastructure and positive economic atmosphere.

Head of HRH Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa attended the meeting.
