HRH the Crown Prince receives Thai ambassador
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander welcomed the newly appointed Thai ambassador to Bahrain Vichai Varasirikul wishing him success in his diplomatic duties and reinforcing ties between the two countries.
His Royal Highness expressed during his meeting with the Thai ambassador at Riffa Palace the kingdom’s aspirations towards achieving more cooperation with Thailand affirming the provision of the necessary support in all aspects to accomplish this. He also indicated that no country is able to achieve development without reinforcing cooperation and coordination with its regional surroundings and the rest of the world towards revitalizing fruitful partnerships. Within this context His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of the East Asian bloc and its vital role in the ASEAN organisation that has become a world group. He also affirmed the kingdom’s keenness with the leadership of His Majesty the King on the principle of partnership either through foreign relations or local.
His Royal Highness conveyed His Majesty the King’s greetings to the Thai Monarch and the Thai government.For his part the Thai ambassador expressed his happiness in undertaking his diplomatic assignment in Bahrain that is considered a friendly country to Thailand. He also affirmed his country’s support for the efforts exerted by the Kingdom in preserving stability and reaching a national consensus through a National Dialogue and welcomed His Majesty the King’s formation of the Fact-finding Committee in the recent crisis to preserve all individuals right. The ambassador also expressed his aspirations towards reinforcing further relations between the two countries on all levels.
