HRH Prince Salman meets Abu Dhabi Crown Prince
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa which has been able to yield many achievements.”Bahrain has been able to make many achievements at various levels since the launch of HM King Hamad’s civilizational project which has given a framework to political work in Bahrain, ” he said adding that Bahraini citizens, the target of the comprehensive development programmes, have maintained accomplishments and must protect them.
HRH Prince Salman stressed at a meeting today with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan that security and stability are the main factor and the bulwark of local and regional achievements.”What Bahrain, which I love, is witnessing has driven me to call to resort to reason and place the national interest above everything,” HRH the Crown Prince said. ” I have made an open appeal to all factions to sit at the table of dialogue and reach a social consensus aimed at serving the national interest and protecting our inherited asset-national unity,” he added.
Shaikh Mohammed has reiterated his country’s full and unwavering support to all measures taken by Bahrain to safeguard its security and stability. ” Bahrain and the UAE are one country sharing the same future and destiny. We are keen that the Bahraini people continue their development march in which they are taking part,” he said. He also called to boost the GCC joint work to confront all challenges facing development and modernization.Shaikh Mohammed called on all Bahrainis to take advantage of the historic opportunity, promote mutual trust and answer HRH Prince Salman’s call for national dialogue. He hoped Bahrain would be able to set up a unique example in dealing with different views and opinions.
Both sides discussed bilateral relations and ways of bolstering them. Means of promoting cooperation among the GCC countries were also reviewed.Present at the meeting were Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Finance Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Crown Prince’s Court Head Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa, HRH Crown Prince’s Advisor Shaikh Ahmed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Personal Secretary Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa Al Khalifa.
