HRH Crown Prince Arrives in Sharm Al Shaikh

On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and the Economic Development Board (EDB) Chairman, arrived here today to take part in the second Arab Economic and Development Summit, currently hosted by Egypt.

Upon arrival, HRH Crown Prince was welcomed by the Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nadhif and senior officials, the Bahraini Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Finance Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Egypt Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa.

HRH Crown Prince attended the opening session of the summit in which the Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak, the Kuwaiti Amir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah and the Arab League Secretary General Amr Mousa delivered statements.

The kingdom’s delegation to the summit includes the Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Finance Minister Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Head of the Crown Prince’s Court Shaikh Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa, the Ambassador at the Foreign Ministry Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa and the EDB Chief Executive Officer Kamel Ahmed.
