HRH Premier receives HRH Crown Prince

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at his court today His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Economic Development Board Chairman.

Both leaders hailed Bahrain’s pioneering position in promoting freedoms, democracy as well as economic, social and media openness under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. They called to uphold the kingdom’s good image and preserve hard-earned achievements urging officials and ministers to keep in touch with local, regional and international mass media and respond to queries related to sectors they are in charge of.

Cooperating with the media blocks the way to defamatory attempts seeking to tarnish Bahrain’s accomplishments and helps mass media get information from official sources, they emphasized lauding the efforts made to upgrade the official media body to help it cope with current challenges. 

In this regard, both leaders underlined their support for strategic media schemes to help promote continuous and positive cooperation with mass media expressing satisfaction at the efforts made to develop the media sector.

They also underscored the need to use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes stressing HM King Hamad’s concern to keep abreast of international progress and develop strategies to use nuclear energy to further promote the kingdom’s sustainable development. They reviewed ways to boost industrial competence and adopt initiatives to promote national products.

They also underlined the need to take into consideration supply and demand in setting training and professional programmes to better serve the kingdom’s development process in line with the Economic Vision 2030.

HRH the Prime Minister and HRH the Crown Prince stressed the role of the private sector in this respect urging to promote the culture of entrepreneurship to further involve the youth in the development march.
