HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with the Chairman and Board Members of the Bahraini Journalists Association

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the Chairman of the Bahraini Journalists Association, Isa Al Shaiji, and its Board Members, at Gudaibiya Palace.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the important role played by journalists in promoting Bahrain’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

His Royal Highness highlighted the local press’ efforts in raising community awareness and promoting the aspirations and opinions of the community on various sectors, as well as supporting Team Bahrain’s continuous efforts in achieving the national developmental goals.

His Royal Highness commended the contributions of the local press and the national media in upholding impartiality, credibility, and transparency, which are the core principles that support the Kingdom’s progress and development. 

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted that journalists play a vital role within Team Bahrain, and stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to improve its competitiveness through the press’ efforts in highlighting Bahrain’s achievements.

For his part, the Chairman of the Bahraini Journalists Association expressed his gratitude for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s support to the local media and press, which affirms and strengthens its role in society and within the Kingdom’s comprehensive development.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, HE Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, and the Minister of Information Affairs, HE Dr Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Nuaimi, also attended the meeting.
