HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets students from the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme’s 23rd intake

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the 23rd intake of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP), at Riffa Palace.

 

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the importance of investing in and creating quality opportunities for Bahrain’s youth, who play an essential role in the Kingdom’s ongoing comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

 

His Royal Highness congratulated the students on their acceptance to the programme and applauded their performance in the application process, which is demonstrative of their determination to accomplish and excel.

 

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the significant achievements of CPISP staff and the support offered by educational institutions to the participating students.

 

His Royal Highness noted the achievements of the Programme’s alumni, including their leading roles in local and international businesses. In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed his pride in the appointment of HE Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif as Minister of Sustainable Development, the first minister from the CPISP’s alumni.

• Layal Khalid Humaidan – St. Christopher’s School

• Mohamed Husain Al Ekri – Naim Secondary Boys School

• Rashed Fahad Ali – Creativity Private School

• Samer Ibrahim Abahasanain – Al Hidaya Al Khalifiya Secondary Boys School

• Sarah Fawaz Zayed – Al Noor Secondary Girls School

• Shereen Abbas Al Ansari – Al Wafa Secondary Girls School

• Yousif Jalal Al Najjar – Sevenoaks School (United Kingdom)

• Zain Yasser Al Khaja – Ibn Khuldoon National School

• Zainab Bashar Al Aradi – Sitra Secondary Girls School

 

The 2022 scholarship recipients were selected from among 707 Bahraini students and applicants studying overseas. The final selection criteria included students’ Grade Point Average, the results of IELTS and SAT examinations, leadership training, and a critical thinking course organised by the CPISP as part of last year’s candidacy training.

 

The students of the Crown Prince International Scholarship Programme’s 23rd intake expressed their gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness for his empowerment of Bahraini youth.

 

The Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and the Advisor for Political and Economic Affairs at the Court of the Crown Prince, and Board Member of the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP), HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Essa Al Khalifa, and the President of the Court of the Crown Prince, HE Shaikh Salman bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
