HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives Minister of Interior and the Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received the Minister of Interior, HE General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and the Minister of Interior’s Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), HE Shaikh Hisham Al Khalifa, at Riffa Palace.
His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of continuing to develop government procedures that support initiatives aimed at attracting investment, one of the main priorities of the Kingdom’s Economic Recovery Plan, launched in accordance with the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
His Royal Highness congratulated HE Shaikh Hisham on his new appointment, issued by royal decree, as Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs, and wished him success in his endeavours.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to updating its regulatory frameworks and procedures to further strengthen government workstreams to benefit promising sectors and citizens.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the role of utilising modern technology in passenger procedures at the Bahrain International Airport to improve travel and tourism to the Kingdom.
HE General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and noted HRH’s commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s Ministry of Interior and all its agencies.
HE General Shaikh Rashid noted that HRH’s continued support enhances the Kingdom’s development and the Ministry’s performance, leading to even further success.
For his part, HE Shaikh Hisham expressed his honour in his appointment by royal decree, and his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness.
