HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlights importance of Bahrain-UAE ties

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at Qasr Al Watan Palace.

His Royal Highness highlighted the depth of longstanding ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), adding that bilateral relations continue to strengthen as a result of the commitment and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

His Royal Highness conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His Royal Highness further conveyed HM the King’s best wishes for the UAE’s progress and prosperity, noting the special place the UAE holds in the heart of every Bahraini citizen.

His Royal Highness and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed attended the signing of a number of agreements and MoUs, which will support the economic growth plans of both countries.

These agreements, and a new executive program, span a range of areas, including; higher education, teacher training, human resources, trade and investment, advanced technology, economic integration, stock markets, artificial intelligence in oil and gas, logistics, transportation, cyber security, cyberspace technical cooperation, combating crime, food security, healthcare, climate change, and technical support for upstream industries.

His Royal Highness highlighted the importance of bilateral visits and noted that the MoUs and agreements signed will contribute to consolidating relations, expanding areas of cooperation, and creating high- value opportunities.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed welcomed HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s official visit to the UAE, noting the importance of further bolstering Bahrain-UAE cooperation across various sectors.

Regional and international topics of common interest were discussed.

A number of senior officials also attended.
