HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives the Bahraini poet, Mohammed Hadi Al Halwaji

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met and received a collection of poems, titled Al Hamadiyat, from the Bahraini poet Mohammed Hadi Al Halwaji, at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the importance of poetry to cultural heritage and its historic role promoting social values that contributed to the consolidation of Arab and national identities. In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted HM the King’s continued support to the preservation of the Kingdom’s cultural heritage.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the Kingdom’s commitment to preserving its Arab heritage whilst building bridges between different societies as a means of enhancing Bahrain’s global standing.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister praised Mr. Al Halwaji for his efforts compiling the poems, with several written in praise of HM the King. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister wished Mr. Al Halwaji success in his upcoming poetic work. 

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted the impressive work from Bahrain’s writers and poets, and their efforts towards enriching Bahraini literary contributions and culture.

For his part, Mr. Al Halwaji, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and welcomed HRH’s continued support of the Kingdom’s cultural and literary heritage. 

Mr. Al Halwaji concluded by reciting one of his poems to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HE General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, were in attendance.
