HRH the Crown Prince instructs EWA to desist from working on Bahrain Credit Reference Bureau agreement

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today instructed the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) to desist from completing an agreement to join the Bahrain Credit Reference Bureau, which manages clients’ credit information, until further studies are completed to ensure citizens’ interests are protected.

HRH the Crown Prince emphasised that all policymaking must prioritise citizens’ needs whilst maintaining service excellence and governmental efficiency.

Following His Royal Highness’s intervention, further work will be undertaken to ensure citizens’ interests are protected as part of any agreement.
