HRH Crown Prince meets Chief Executive Officer of the Italian energy company Eni S.p.A.

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met Mr. Claudio Descalzi, Chief Executive Officer of the Italian energy company Eni S.p.A., on the occasion of the signing of an MOU with Bahrain’s National Oil & Gas Authority (NOGA), at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince noted that, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad, the Kingdom continues to prioritise oil and gas exploration projects such as those that led to the discovery of Bahrain’s largest ever oil field last year.

HRH the Crown Prince also noted Bahrain’s pursuit of a smart oil economy that leverages diversification and promotes sustainable growth.

His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister for Oil, also attended the meeting.
