Deputy King: national values are crucial to driving Bahrain’s development

The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, this evening visited the Majlis of the sons of the late Abdul Karim Ahmed Al Ansari, the Majlis of Al Shaikh Mustafa bin Abdullatif, and the Majlis of the late Abdulla Ahmed Nass. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa accompanied HRH during the visits.

 

The Deputy King highlighted that national values and principles continue to drive nation’s development, led by HM King Hamad. HRH also highlighted that national values protect Bahraini society from any attempts to politicise religion and promote extremism.

 

The Deputy King emphasised that the success of the Kingdom’s sustainable development goals hinges on the combined efforts of all Bahrainis.

 

HRH added that education quality has a direct impact on development goals, noting that training development and educational standards remain a key priority.

 

HRH also highlighted that citizens’ interests are the focal point of ongoing development efforts, noting the series of laws introduced recently to drive growth in key sectors and help the country adjust to regional and global economic challenges.

 

The Deputy King recalled the prominent role of the legislative authority in adopting laws and regulations which support economic development and strengthen the Kingdom’s investment environment.

 

HRH noted the strong social bonds that underpin Bahrain’s society and form an important element of the Kingdom’s inclusive national identity.

 

Emphasis was also given to the Kingdom’s commitment to providing modern and affordable housing to its citizens. In this regard, HRH highlighted that housing is among the top priorities of the Kingdom’s development goals, and welcomed the recent programmes and initiatives which have accelerated the delivery of housing units across the kingdom.

 

HRH went on to note the role of the GCC Development Fund, which has been instrumental to delivering projects, infrastructure and public services with long-term advantages for all Bahrainis.

 

The Majlis hosts and guests expressed their gratitude for His Royal Highness’ visit, and praised wide-ranging initiatives that are accelerating growth and development across different sectors.
