Deputy King meets Chief Minister of Kerala
Deputy King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met the Chief Minister of Kerala, His Excellency Pinarayi Vijayan, at Gudaibiya Palace.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the strength of relations between Bahrain and the Republic of India, and the importance of further strengthening ties through enhanced bilateral cooperation, and to further work on the achievements reached through bilateral agreements.
His Royal Highness praised the efforts of Bahrain’s and India’s private sectors, highlighting their strong bonds and continuous communication, and their efforts to explore new business opportunities which help to further strengthen economic, trade and investment relations.
His Royal Highness welcomed His Excellency Vijayan’s visit to Bahrain, as it plays an important role in further bolstering economic ties between the two countries. In this regard, His Royal Highness recalled his visit to Kerala in 2013 and other visits to India, which resulted in the signing of a number of agreements that have benefited both countries. His Royal Highness noted the strength of India’s economy, which is considered a model for economic development, and the level of success it has achieved in confronting various economic challenges.
The Deputy King and the Chief Minister of Kerala went on to review collaborative ties, and underlined the importance of further strengthening cooperation, which benefits from well-established and flexible regulations that contribute to the smooth flow of investments across the private sector, particularly within the trade and manufacturing sectors.
In response, His Excellency expressed gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness and for the official invitation to visit Bahrain. His Excellency highlighted that the invitation reflects His Royal Highness’s commitment and support to further strengthening Bahraini-Indian ties. His Excellency went on to praise the warm welcome he received from Bahrain’s Indian community, reflecting the deep bilateral ties between the two countries.
His Royal Highness hosted a lunch banquet honouring the visit of the Chief Minister of Kerala and his accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The son of His Royal Highness the Deputy King, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, and a number of senior officials also attended the meeting
