HRH Crown Prince stresses importance of investing in citizens’ futures to deliver excellence across the Kingdom
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today visited the Amna bint Wahab School in Muharraq.
The school has achieved outstanding status three times in a row following a comprehensive assessment carried out by the National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training (QQA) and recently received the government’s Educational Excellence Award at Bahrain’s Government Forum 2016.
During his visit to the school, the Crown Prince stressed that Bahrain will continue to invest in citizens’ futures, in order to contribute to achieving excellence across the Kingdom and delivering results that are above and beyond standard levels of performance.
The Crown Prince also highlighted that this priority must continue to inform the nation’s development, and that the impressive achievement of the school is a shining example of how excellence within sectors can support long-term sustainable development.
The Crown Prince emphasised His Majesty’s firm commitment to accelerating development across Bahrain’s education sector, and added that this commitment has resulted in the delivery of initiatives that enable citizens to reach their full potential.
The Crown Prince welcomed the important role educational institutions play in facilitating cultural and economic development across the country, and highlighted the importance of cultivating and promoting reading habits in schools, which he said directly enhance learning skills and knowledge.
The Crown Prince concluded by praising the important role of the school’s administrative staff, who work tirelessly to deliver academic excellence within the school, and expressed his pride at the opportunity to share with the school this significant milestone.
The Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Supreme Council for Education and Training Development, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, accompanied the Crown Prince during his visit. The Minister of Education, Dr Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, also attended the visit.
