HRH Crown Prince receives CBB Governor, Board members
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met the Central Bank of Bahrain’s (CBB) Governor, Rasheed Al Maraj, and Board Members to mark the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the Bahraini Dinar.
The meeting, which took place at Riffa Palace, saw the Crown Prince presented with a commemorative gold medal produced to mark the anniversary.
The Crown Prince highlighted that the regulatory frameworks that govern Bahrain’s banking and financial sector are amongst the most advanced in the region, and that increased inter-connectivity with international and regional markets played a crucial role in advancing financial and banking institutions within the country.
The Crown Prince remarked that the occasion represented an important moment to acknowledge and celebrate Bahrain’s economic resilience and steady economic growth over the decades. He went on to praise the CBB for its leading role in developing an advanced and innovative regulatory framework and economic environment within Bahrain.
The Crown Prince concluded by emphasising the importance of continuing to implement policies that directly support Bahrain’s long-term development prospects.
The CBB’s board members and senior management expressed their gratitude to the Crown Prince’s for his ongoing support and the role he plays in bolstering Bahrain’s banking and financial sector, including the introduction of innovative policies and strategies.
