HRH Crown Prince receives newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Dr. Ali Hassan Al-Ahmadi, at Riffa Palace.
His Royal Highness highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Yemen, and reflected on the importance of collectively working towards stability and prosperity in Yemen. The Crown Prince highlighted that following the directives of His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander, Bahrain joined the Saudi-led Arab coalition in Yemen to restore the internationally-recognised government to power and return security and stability to the country.
His Royal Highness stressed the importance of the humanitarian aspect of the coalition’s mission in the country and its efforts to secure humanitarian aid for the Yemeni people, as well as the coalition’s unwavering commitment to defeating terrorism and upholding regional security.
The Crown Prince welcomed Ambassador Al-Ahmadi and wished him success in his new role, adding that he hoped bilateral ties between the two countries would expand further during his tenure. His Royal Highness also expressed his hope for greater peace and stability for Yemen and its people, reaffirming Bahrain’s continued support to the country across all areas.
The Ambassador of Yemen expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s continued support to Yemen’s stability and security. Dr. Al-Ahmadi expressed his ambition to further deepen bilateral relations between the two countries and expand ties across all sectors.
