HRH Crown Prince meets Italian Prime Minster

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today met His Excellency Matteo Renzi, Prime Minister of Italy, in Rome, Italy.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness noted the steady growth of bilateral ties between Bahrain and Italy, including partnership agreements that help to bolster cooperation, particularly in relation to cultural, economic and commercial development.

His Royal Highness went on to highlight the importance of exchange visits in further reinforcing bilateral ties. 

The meeting also presented an opportunity for His Royal Highness and Prime Minister Renzi to discuss recent regional and international developments. In this regard, His Royal Highness highlighted the need to combat extremist ideologies to achieve lasting peace, security and stability across the region.

His Royal Highness congratulated Prime Minister Renzi on the success of Expo Milano 2015, and highlighted that Bahrain’s participation had further strengthened cooperation between the two countries.

His Excellency Shaikh Khaled bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Minister of Foreign Affairs also attended the meeting.
