Deputy King meets newly appointed Ambassador of the Philippines to Bahrain

Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, this evening met His Excellency Alfonso Ferdinand A. Ver, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Riffa Palace.

During the meeting, His Royal Highness highlighted the depth of relations between Bahrain and the Philippines, and the interests of both countries in further developing ties across various sectors. 

His Royal Highness praised the growth of bilateral ties between the two countries and highlighted a number of official bilateral visits that have taken place, resulting in the signing of several agreements and MoUs that will further strengthen ties across various fields.

His Royal Highness then highlighted the importance of strengthening trade and investment relations in order to create more investment opportunities for both countries. His Royal Highness also noted the role of Bahrain’s Filipino community in contributing to the development of the Kingdom. 

His Royal Highness went on to welcome Ambassador Ver to Bahrain and wished him every success in his new role. 

For his part, Ambassador Ver expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness, and for His Royal Highness’ interest in further developing relations between Bahrain and the Philippines.
